Parent’s VISA Approved – Mumbai Consulate ( Marathi )

Hi Immians ,

Thank you very much for posting all your experiences in this forum, It tremendously helped me to get my Parents prepared for interview. It was their first attempt and approved.

Apart from huge queue for getting in to premises, everything went well for them. Interview went with only Q & A’s and with help of Marathi translator. Initially started in Hindi, but my dad insisted that we speak only Marathi.

Questions by VO :

1) Who lives in America (to know about sponsor and in our case, I have sponsored)?
A) Answered.

2) What is the company name?
A) Answered the company name.

3) What is your profession?
A) Answered. State Govt in our case

4) What are your duties while in service?
A) Answered.

5) How many children do you have and where are they?
A) Answered. (In our case Younger son in India and I am here.)

Then ...VO said, your visa is granted and your passports will be couriered to you.
Today we received passports and they got VISA for 10 years multiple entry, I am very Happy.

Where was the interview appointment, was it in Bandra Kurla Complex? VFS site has no information on interview location.

For Mumbai district applicants only: Drop off your required documents three working days prior to your appointment at a VFS center in Mumbai, Pune or Ahmedabad.

All the interviews in Mumbai are at Bandra-Kurla Complex. Old location has been closed.

Where is VFS Application Centre in Mumbai? is it :

Tirupati Apartments,
Bhulabhai Desai Road,
Opp. Mahalakshmi Temple,
Mumbai - 400026.

VFS site doesnt have clear information and there is no mention of BKC anywhere.

You need to drop off the documents at VFS Application Collection centers, BKC is the Consulate office. Also i have attached Check list document which you can refer for documents submission.
